Ryan Dahl on Node.js

A presentation by Ryan Dahl on Node.js, a new exciting server-side tech. The main point of the presentation is: how I/O should be done and how Node.js solves the problem. Fascinating stuff!

I first heard of Node.js briefly back when Lars Bak was speaking at our university, but didn’t really get into it back then. Seems like an interesting technology now!

Video for Everybody!

A bit of plain HTML which will give you video playback in almost any situation. IE will require either QuickTime or Flash. No JavaScript or even CSS included! Take a look at the demo.

Sounds really cool, will have to try this someday.

PS. Lots of comments in the code, so after taking those out it’ll actually be only 24 lines long instead of 35.
